Well we moved to the property on Friday (March 2nd) and are now living in our 2005 Savoy Travel Trailer. It is about 29 feet long I think. It is pretty comfortable but not like living in a house for sure. I pretty much have everything in the trailer that we need for time being.
We got the foundation poured for the well house on Sunday and we bought the pump and other things we need to get the well to working. Right now we have 250 feet of hose that we have hooked up at my brother's hydrant near his pig barn. We just fill up our water tank and turn it off though. As soon as we get our well working we will stay hooked direct. Then it will feel more like home and we wont have to take such quick showers like we do now.
Well the bad news we got last week is that my hubby had a second opinion on his heart and the new cardiologist thinks that he will be on a heart transplant list in a few years. He also said his pain will probably stay around as long as he has this heart but that it could actually just suddenly stop hurting him. It wouldnt mean his problems were solved but even just not having this terrible pain would be a wonderful blessing. It is so hard standing by and not being able to do anything for him. I cant make it go away and it is difficult to deal with that fact. He will be going to see his primary Cardiologist next week and we definitely will have some questions to ask him.
It is so hard to let myself feel joy at actually being able to live at the new property because of his illness and pain. However hubby is thrilled at being there and I really wish I could just let myself feel the same. I sorta feel guilty for not feeling as happy as he is. I am just thinking of how life might be down the road for us eventually. Hopefully as time passes and maybe after we talk to his regular cardiologist I will get past this feeling I have. I have been able to maintain a positive attitude in his presence which is nothing short of a miracle really.
